Tirana Gay (P)Ride 7- 13 of May at 11:00, itinerary of the parade
For the seventh consecutive year, Aleanca LGBT and Pro LGBT invite you to the ride against homophobia and transphobia at Tirana Gay (P) Ride. LGBTI people, activists and allies of this community – those who think that everyone should have equal rights and are not afraid to raise their voice in public for these rights – will be pedaling this Sunday (on 13 of May) at 11:00 a.m, in Tirana. The ride will begin at the Palace of Congresses continuing towards Skanderbeg Square and then on the “Zogu i Pare” boulevard.
This year’s messages are #couragetolove, #proudtobeyourself and are an encouraging call to live freely and to be yourself, not just for LGBTI people but for anyone who feels stigmatized because it is perceived as “different” from the society.
According to Xheni Karaj, “no one should feel ashamed and discriminated because of love! It’s time to unite and say yes to love without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, religion.”
After the ride, Skanderbeg Square will be transformed as a concert scene against homophobia and transphobia by Bojken Lako, one of the public figures who is strong a supporter of the LGBTI community. He will perform to show that love belongs to all those who want to love and know how to love.
